“I really enjoyed reading your wonderful book, Sherri! It flowed right off the pages and into my heart. You could also title your book Creating Peace in My Corner of a Chaotic World. It is a handbook for a calm and peaceful, but not boring, life.
The book as a whole is very relevant to my life. As I was reading, I was thinking, “Gosh, Sherri and I are a lot alike.” We have had so many similar experiences and reacted in similar ways. For instance, I have often had the tendency to react to situations rather than respond. I haven’t been as bad about this as I have aged, but I still have my moments. Also, your section on being a catalyst for change resonated with me. I have been a catalyst, in the past, when I didn’t even realize it. In fact, the times I have accidentally been a catalyst worked better than times when I was deliberate about it.
I loved it when you wrote about communication. There have been instances when I thought I was lost in an episode of The Beverly Hillbillies, the miscommunication was flying so fast and furious! I am very alarmed when someone I care about misconstrues what I have said, when it was actually something very innocent. The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone’s feelings. So, I felt that topic was one of the most important ones. Our words and our actions to each other are so crucial to having peaceful relationships.
You made me think of my father when you said doing something for someone else was a good way to make yourself feel better. That’s what Dad used to tell me. He used a little stronger words though. He would say, “Stop feeling sorry for yourself, and see what you can do to help someone else!” At first I would be irritated, but then I thought about how true this was. I always felt better when I was helpful to others.
I got tickled when I was reading 10 Ways to Feel Better in 60 Seconds or Less. I suddenly found myself sitting up straight and taking deep breaths. Then I was on my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water. LOL
Thank you for this amazing book, Sherri! It is full of insight and wisdom. It is definitely a guidebook for a happier life! I know there are many people out there who will enjoy it and benefit from reading it as much as I have.” – Mary Canfield, Serene Journey reader
“Personally, I loved every part of the last section on “Enjoying the Little Things” and I’ve asked my wife to give it a read because I think she’ll really enjoy the lessons related to “Focusing on You.” I really expect that Your Life. Live it. Love it. will be a popular book that is read by many. I found the concepts and tips to be broad in appeal, yet many touched me personally.
I took away some very meaningful lessons that have already helped me personally. And I was challenged to take a fresh look at some areas of my life where I have struggled to find contentment and appreciation for all of God’s incredible blessings.” – Dustin, Engaged Marriage
“What I loved the most about the book is how Sherri combines her personal experience with life lessons that all of us can relate to.” – Anastasiya, Balance in me
“If there is anyone on this planet who can figure out how to make life simple and enjoyable, it’s Sherri. The book, as she explains it, is “designed to help people break mental barriers, confront insecurities, strengthen relationships, and redesign their life so they can live in a way that is true to who they are.” I’m sure we all could use a little help in these areas.” – Lisis, Quest for Balance
