We focus on simplifying our lives, creating new and fun experiences for our family, sharing new ideas that we’ve learned and improving our happiness. We hope you get some valuable information out of our experiences and are inspired to focus on making your life the most enjoyable it can be.
About Sherri
I’m Sherri, a work at home mom to two young boys and married to my high school sweetheart, Gwynn.
Staying at home is certainly not without its challenges. I’ve been presented with several opportunities to develop and improve my time management, organizing, and multitasking skills, not to mention creativity and patience. I proudly carry the title of family organizer, although I was not always this way. Gradually, over the past 7 years, and through much trial and error I now live a happier, simpler, more organized and relatively carefree life.
I also co-founded and write for Zen Family Habits with the lovely Leo Babauta. It’s Zen Habits sister site with a focus on family.
When I’m not writing for Serene Journey or Zen Family Habits I enjoy spending as much time with my family as possible. I’m also interested in photography, anything science related (PhD in Molecular Genetics), travel, organizing, cooking and reading.
I’m glad you decided to check us out. Feel free to drop me a line at sherri [dot] serenejourney [at] gmail.com or through the Contact page.
About Gwynn
![]()
Yes, my name is Gwynn. I was named after my grandfather and am assured by my mother that it’s a masculine name despite what the rest of the world thinks.
By day I work as a computer programmer and I’m the technical mastermind behind the scenes at Serene Journey. I’m always looking for ways to improve myself and our lifestyle so I’m really big into personal development, simplification, frugality, and happiness, but I now leave the writing to Sherri.
Since we started this blog I’ve discovered that there’s a great community online with people that share these interests.
If you are having any technical difficulties with the site please feel free to give me a shout via the Contact page.
