  2. I am usually very well prepared, but this year I find myself somewhat behind the eight-ball. I keep trying to bake, and make things ahead of time, but somehow this year things haven’t quite been working out in my favour (if you are interested, I tried making a make-ahead gravy – you can read about it on my blog http://girlfriendlifeline.blogspot.com/2010/12/get-ahead-gravy-mmmmmmm.html)

I think I will follow your advice and just throw in the towel this year. I am not going to bake anything else from scratch this year. I am going to go out and buy dessert!

  3. Keeping it in perspective is key! If it doesn’t get done, it doesn’t! It’s not a big deal… My priority this holiday is spending time with the family – which is why my Simple Christmas Dinner is planned and ready to go. It may not be a culinary masterpiece but all I care about is the company I will be in whilst eating it… Great post as always Sherri! Jo – simplybeingmum – family life simply done
