Something We Preach But Rarely Do
My friend of 33 years is getting married.
I’m very excited and happy for her as she has found a super great guy who obviously makes her very happy. This weekend was their social. An evening of music, drinking, eating and dancing in honor of them.
It was great fun. The dancing part in particular. My favorite of the evening was The Black Eyed Peas “I Got A Feelin’”.
This is my favorite song to dance to, the one song that I can really let go to. And I did. In front of a large crowd of people, the majority of whom I didn’t know, I let go. It felt great! It was liberating, and fun.
So I was thinking, we talk about it all the time but, when was the last time you really and truly danced like nobody was watching?

I don’t know what it is about me, but I just don’t dance! We didn’t even do a bridal waltz at our wedding because I felt so uncomforatble about it. Hmmm, perhaps I should look at doing some dance lessons with hubby and change this. I think he’d like that!
