Sherri, amazing isn’t it that reading a post about happiness puts a smile on your face. Happiness like laughter is infectious. Spending time reading happy articles and books, being with happy people and where laughter is regular, helps you catch some of the stuff. That and enjoying where you are, every moment, and appreciating all that you DO have not that you don’t is the key. Whenever we go through a trial or trauma we ask for things to go becak to normal – the everyday where, at heart, we are happy. Happiness is, just is!

Hi Sherri,

Your post resonates to me especially after coming back from a serious car accident and then seeing my wife giving birth to our little baby girl this past week reminds me of how precious life really is.
I am happy to have survived and I am even happier to have witnessed the birth of our baby girl.
She is now my world.

For me happiness is summed up in the following quote from Leo Babauta:

“Stop waiting for happiness. Happiness is right here, right now.”

Its about appreciating what you have right now in this present moment, not the future and certainly not the past. I have a heart-covered charm on my Pandora bracelet that reminds me of this quote every day.

For me true happiness comes with living in the moment. It comes through laughter and love. It comes through doing things that are dear to me… it comes through Gratitude and appreciate what I have and those around me. Happiness for me comes through giving. Thanks for waking us up with the true meaning of happiness.
