The Book of Awesome – Review and Giveaway
Life’s tough. If you’re looking around wondering what the heck is there to be happy about, The Book of Awesome will provide you with answers.
The Book of Awesomeis written by Neil Pasricha, founder and author of the very popular blog 1000 Awesome Things. Everyday Neil adds a new Awesome thing to his list and is well on his way towards reaching his goal of a 1000.
I loved this book. People who know me, know that I’m not an avid reader. Unlike my mom, mother in law or husband I can’t sit down and devour a book in a day. But The Book of Awesomewas the exception. From the minute I opened the book I was literally laughing out loud, annoying my husband in the process.
From high-fiving babies and peeling an orange in one go to fixing electronics by smacking them and celebrating your pet’s birthday even though they have no idea what’s going on this book is well … Awesome.
This book is full of the little things, the simple joys of life that we can all relate to, without being overly gushy or sickly sweet. Neil has a style of writing that is engaging and highly entertaining.
I can’t recommend this book enough if you’re looking for a laugh or just need some help seeing the good in the everyday. The book is on sale now at Amazon for only 11.69 and in my opinion, it’s worth every penny.
The giveaway
Neil has kindly offered me a signed copy of his book to give away to one of you, my fabulous readers. To enter is simple just leave a comment telling me the one thing that is most awesome to you. I will make the draw on Wednesday this week so get your ideas in.

Hello Sherry!
The most awesome thing is always what happens in the moment.
So, since I’m writing in this moment, I say that the fact that I’m breathing and writing in this blog is the most awesome thing.
It is also awesome that I’m the first commenter!
And it is awesome that I’m always in the right place at the right time!
Thank you!

As taxing as it can be, it is AWESOME to be back living with my parents after college. We’re getting to know each other in ways that we weren’t able to when I was in high school. I appreciate them far more now than I did 5 years ago and because of them, I wake up every day feeling so grateful for everything I have. And I’m saving lots of money!

Hello,
What a great idea!! I was going to write the most awesome thing is when the sun coes out in April (here in London that is a very rare and very welcome occurance!)
But I think today the most awesome thing is when after a long day at work, the bus comes just as you get to the stop and then you get a seat!
Best wishes,
Kate

Thanks for telling us about this book and the giveaway.
Awesome is the way Rocket Roberts, my newest little shelter dog, always manages to find one of my feet under the covers in the bed to use as a pillow at night. I’m not sure which of us gets more comfort from that! 8 )
It is awesome to be able to watch my daughter do or say the funniest thing right when I am feeling down and need a lift.
It is the most awesome thing to sit on the deck of our sailboat with a cup of freshly brewed coffe and watch the sun rise over the mountains that surround the lake.

I held her legs and helped her push the baby out and then getting the opportunity to cut the umbilical cord right after is pure awesomeness.
