What Will You Entitle Yourself To?
I first saw this on Abundance Blog by Marelisa. Two employees from IDEO, a design and innovation company, hopped on a train and handed out little orange tickets. Each ticket entitled the bearer to 10 minutes of free play.
Marelisa then asked: If you could print out your own tickets what would you give yourself permission to do?
Of the 20 things she listed, there are a few that I would print out for myself including:
- I give myself permission to laugh.
- I give myself permission to play.
- I give myself permission to make mistakes.
- I give myself permission to try again.
- I give myself permission to have fun.
- I give myself permission to be imperfect.
I would also add:
- I give myself permission to be happy.
- I give myself permission to dream.
- I give myself permission to go with my gut.
- I give myself permission to give people the benefit of the doubt.
- I give myself permission to be quirky.
- I give myself permission to love unconditionally.
- I give myself permission to take the road less traveled.
- I give myself permission to be childlike.
- I give myself permission to take a break.
- I give myself permission to NOT do everything on my to-do list.
Going into this weekend what will you give yourself permission to do?

I think the world would be a much better place if we would all give ourselves these permissions. Truly, thou art wise.
Onwe thing that I would add: I give myself permission to take it easy, and relax.

Love this post! I give myself permission to be happy, and to live the life I’m called to live {without letting others’ expectations influence that}.
Have a great weekend!

“I give myself permission to NOT do everything on my to-do list.”
Sometimes I abuse this privilege, heh. But I really have felt okay when I accept that I just can’t get everything done that everyone expects of me!

I give myself permission to be hopeful.
Hi Sherri: I’m glad you liked the “permission post”.
I think I’m going to add “be quirky” to mine. Cheers, Marelisa
Hi Sherri — giving myself permission to experiment with different and crazy-sounding ideas, particularly in building my business, has been really useful to me.
This is great!
I give myself permission to do nothing.
I give myself permission to eat ice cream.
I give myself permission make new friends.
I give myself permission to love everyone!
