You know what would be PERFECT for the basket? Those little soaps and shampoos that people always take from hotels but never end up using.

I’ve found that my peeps looove getting these and are more comfortable with their own soaps, etc.

Lovely ideas. If the friends or family are not staying at your house but in a nearby hotel, dropping off a welcome basket as you’ve described to await their check-in is another nice gesture.
