This includes things like a rain poncho, flashlight and pocket stove (in case I ever get stranded in a snowstorm, I can at least have a cup of tea). I keep my reusable shopping bags back there. But the most important thing in the trunk is my portable picnic kit. It has dishes, wineglasses and utensils with a cutting board and its only about 6" x 10". I keep a fairly extensive emergency kit in the trunk in a plastic bin. This includes things like a rain poncho, flashlight and pocket stove (in case I ever get stranded in a snowstorm, I can at least have a cup of tea).

I keep my reusable shopping bags back there.

But the most important thing in the trunk is my portable picnic kit. It has dishes, wineglasses and utensils with a cutting board and its only about 6″ x 10″.

It keeps them neatly contained and it fits neatly in our glove box. Mary, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with exercise equipment in the back! A shovel is a must in our neck of the woods you never want to be without one when/if you hit the ditch. (Touch wood it's a ditch free winter this time around). These are great you guys!

An umbrella stroller (my kids are 7 and almost 5, yet they do love getting a ride now & then) A small backpack with a change of clothes for each child because grandparents and/or an aunt has surprised me more than once with a request to have them sleepover while we were having a family party. And a bonus 4th item, just because...
