We’re On A Mission: Our Posting Schedule
Well Serene Journey is nearly 2 months old and man are we loving it! We have met a lot of lovely and interesting people so far. A big THANK YOU to all our readers as well for showing a lot of interest in what we’re writing, for providing great feedback on what we do and for contributing to our site through your comments!
This is just a short post today to keep you up to speed with what our plans are as we forge on ahead. We were discussing this weekend about how we wanted to go forward with this site to make it a little more structured, remain valuable to you our reader, while being fun and manageable for us at the same time. The first step was to come up with a posting schedule for the topics we cover. So without further ado here it is:
Mondays – Personal Development
Tuesdays – Home & Organizing
Wednesdays – Happiness
Thursdays – Series (Current Series: Keeping It Short and Sweet)
Fridays – Frugality
In general we’ll be taking the weekends off. If there is something we would like to post then we will but in general weekends will be kept for family and friends. We’ve been getting great feedback from our Favorite Finds of the Week post and will continue to post those on Saturdays so you have some great weekend reading.
This mix of article topics is what most of you enjoy reading about and are certainly things that we enjoy writing about.
We will try to stick to this schedule to add a bit of predictability and structure to our site but as we all know life happens and it may change from time to time.
Your feedback is always welcome on topics or issues that you would like to see discussed or that you’re interested in learning more about. So don’t be shy. You can email us through our contact page or leave a comment in the comments section of any post. Thanks again for reading and subscribing to Serene Journey.

Hi Sherri,
Thanks for letting us know what to expect. I am look forward to reading future posts! Have a great day!
Nadia-Happy Lotus’s last blog post..Oh God, It’s Monday
That is really good that you have a posting schedule. I’ve started to notice that many bloggers don’t keep to a schedule. Me and my writers at FupDuck have a loose schedule, but have not posted it publicly yet. I’d hate to get yelled by our readers for being lazy. Congrats on two months of Serene Journey.
@ Nadia – Glad you’re enjoying the site it’s great to set some expectations and be accountable for delivery
@ FupDuckTV – Thanks for the kind words. It’s been fun so far and we’ve learned heaps. Like I said to Nadia it’s good to have something to be accountable for and it adds structure for us as well. Go on make it public!
Sherri and Gywnn
First congrats on making the 2 month mark! The structure you guys have planned looks great.
Blogs are great but unless you can keep posting new and creative stuff they can tend to fade away. Not at all saying this will happen here as you both seem to have some great ideas from what I have seen so far. Here is to hoping you guys can keep up the great posts and the creativity!!
Hi again,
I have found that inspiration somehow manages to come into existence and you are right, knowing that you have to deliver somehow works into the equation. Like I said, I have no idea why or how this happens but it does!
BTW, I made cupcakes the other day, remembered your post and yes, it made disporportionately happy once again!
Nadia-Happy Lotus’s last blog post..Oh God, It’s Monday
@ Steve – Thanks so much for the kind words. I hope we remain as inspired as we have been over the past couple of months. We really are having fun and enjoy hearing from you as well! Thanks for all of your comments!
@ Nadia – Glad you were able to find time to introduce a bit more happiness into your life!
Wow! You guys have made phenomenal progress in two months.
As always, I look forward to all of your articles.
Roger – A Content Life’s last blog post..How to See Clearly When You’re Worried
Hi Sherri,
Wow, I wouldn’t have guessed that your blog is only 2 months old. You’re doing great, and I love the new schedule! When I started blogging I had a Monday to Friday posting schedule too but have started to get more laid back and now post twice a week. I’m sure you’ll do better than me!
Daphne’s last blog post..How To Write A Personal Creed
Two months?!! That’s all?!!
I agree with Daphne – you two are doing great!
I do have to confess, though, I don’t really care about your posting schedule. I’ll be a regular visitor anyway.
C’ya tomorrow!
Michael’s last blog post..A Father’s Promise
@ Roger – Thanks for you kind words!
@ Daphne – Thanks for the encouragement. We are still fairly young and are still having fun with it so time will tell about the more laid back approach to writing.
@ Michael – Yup that’s it! Thanks a bunch for your kind words you’re welcome over here anytime
Congratulations on reaching the 2 month mark!! I love that you have a posting schedule so I know what to look forward to each day. Although, I’m with Michael… I would stop by no matter what!
